The Procura+ European Sustainable Procurement Network, coordinated by ICLEI Europe, connects public institutions and regions in Europe that are driving sustainable and innovative procurement.
The WIDES database received an Honorable Mention at the Procura+ Awards in 2017. The Vienna Ombuds Office for Environmental Protection was then invited to present WIDES as a European practical example of sustainable public procurement in a case study.
The case study, created with the participation of the Technisches Büro Klade, describes how WIDES works, its application in procurement and its contribution to the gradual substitution of particularly problematic disinfectants. It is published in English on the Procura+ Network website.
