In 2019, the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA) recognised the WIDES database as an exemplary solution for managing hazardous substances at work.
The case study shows how WIDES supports hospitals, schools and other public institutions in selecting effective and least harmful disinfectants. The database thus contributes to the avoidance of problematic ingredients and to the protection of employees and the environment.
The European recognition confirms the practical value of the assessment scheme, which was developed with substantial input from Technisches Büro Klade.
