Among other things, disinfectant cleaners, antibacterial cloths and sponges as well as hygiene rinses were evaluated.<\/p>\r\n<p>The technical revision currently underway shows that the main conclusions of the study remain largely valid: routine disinfection is generally not necessary in ordinary households. There are still particular concerns about products containing silver and hygiene rinses with quaternary ammonium compounds, as their use can be harmful to health and the environment.<\/p>\r\n<p>Targeted disinfection measures can be useful in special situations, such as certain infectious diseases or people with severely weakened immune systems.
