As part of a series of interviews, procurement managers and other specialists from the state hospital associations of the federal states are being interviewed. Around half of the planned discussions have already been completed.

The aim of the study is to better understand the technical selection and procurement processes for disinfectants and to determine whether and how WIDES is used. The focus is, among other things, on the collaboration between hygiene specialists, pharmacies and central purchasing, the relevant selection criteria and practical experience with the information and evaluations in the database.

The stakeholder analysis serves the purpose of professional exchange and the practice-oriented further development of WIDES. Existing difficulties, information gaps and requirements for future functions are therefore of particular interest. In addition to the interviews, a broader survey of users is planned. In particular, user-friendliness, search and filter options, presentation and comprehensibility of the information as well as wishes for future development are to be surveyed. The results from interviews and surveys are intended to help align WIDES even more closely to the needs of its actual users over the next two years.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text el_class=”download”][/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Vienna Ombuds Office for Environmental Protection is currently carrying out an Austria-wide stakeholder analysis of the WIDES disinfectant database together with the Technisches Büro Klade.
