Project SAICM 2.0<\/span><\/span><\/h3>[\/vc_column][vc_column width=”3\/4″][vc_column_text]The hazard analysis was developed as part of the international project SAICM 2.0. It supports hygiene teams and procurement managers in identifying problematic disinfectants, assessing the need for substitution and selecting suitable alternatives.<\/p>\n

The process compares the possible risks of disinfectants to human health and the environment. The first step is to examine whether a product used contains ingredients that could have significant or long-term negative effects on health or the aquatic environment.<\/p>\n

The basis for this is the ABC categorization of the ingredients. Substances with particularly problematic properties are assigned to category A. If a product contains such a substance, a need for substitution is assumed and a more detailed examination of suitable alternatives is recommended.<\/p>\n

The hazard analysis can be applied to different product groups:<\/p>\n
